    GIFAtec has an extremely high load-bearing capacity thanks to the high compression that the material undergoes during production. One outstanding characteristic of the material is its homogeneity. Thus, the resistance is identical in every point. Naturally, GIFAtec is available in various specifications; even bulletproof drywalls can be designed.

    In our factory we test the GIFAtec products in our own laboratories.
    Regularly these testing processes are investigated by external experts and engineers of independent institutions in order to guarantee a consistent quality our customers can rely on.

    MEETS ALL CONSTRUCTION REQUIREMENTS.

    Legal backing and best possible properties are elementary preconditions for a material to be used universally. GIFAtec is non-combustible (A1) in accordance with the standard EN 13501-1. Therefore it can be used in all places where fire ratings have to be met. High levels of fire protection can be achieved even for GIFAtec panels with decorative coatings.

    To proof that a material meets the strictest fire protection standard EN 13501-1 it must be checked regularly by independent testing institutions. With these tests it is verified in regular intervals that GIFAtec, as well as many other gypsum-based products, guarantees a valuable temperature stop that can save lives.

    EFFECTIVE SOUND PROTECTION WITHOUT ADDITIONAL INSULATION

    In modern residential and commercial buildings noise protection is an increasingly important subject – since noise triggers stress and impairs a healthy life. Due to its high density GIFAtec offers excellent noise protection values. DIN 4109 defines how good a component must be with respect to its acoustic characteristics.

    In the creation of components GIFAtec offers the greatest benefits compared to most other materials for internal design: Even with a low material thickness GIFAtec fulfils many requirements with respect to noise protection. For rooms with an extraordinary sound exposure GIFAtec hollow floors and GIFAboard wall systems with additional acoustic equipment exist.

    With the same material thickness it is significantly harder to stimulate GIFAtec than comparable material due to its high density.

    FOR ARTISTS IN CONSTRUCTION

    GIFAtec is very robust and withstands great point loads. But also in the assembly and processing with drilling or milling tools you will be impressed of its simple processability. It can be milled, bent and cut at random.

    The best: the physical values remain constant with respect to the load-bearing capacity. GIFAtec can be processed with regular timber processing machines and diamond-tipped tools. Some experts even refer colloquially to it as “non- combustible wood”. This should allow for design creativity
